The IT Department provides service and support for all information technology assets to City of Rockford staff and provides users with the hardware, software, and technical support needed to function efficiently as a municipality.

The IT staff are engaged in multiple projects to better information integration and transparency for city staff and citizens alike. Our IT Professionals are taking a big step in both directions by taking part in the State of Illinois Open Data Initiative. We recently published datasets that are publicly available to all, to provide insight into our internal operations, and to learn about our challenges and success as an organization. Provided below are links to the datasets and related information.
